Mauricio José Borgen

I am technologist currently living in Durham, North Carolina.

Previously worked 2 Agricultural Biotech startups (Athenix & AgBiome) planning, developing and maintaining business & scientific IT platforms. Most recently was at AgBiome, a microbiome biotechnology innovator. AgBiome's culture removed the traditional hierarchy structure & replacement it with a commitment model from James N. Baron's Organizational Blueprints for Success in High-Tech Start-Ups.

I ended my 8 year AgBiome tenure in Scientific & Corporate compute to return to Solution Engineering work in the Information Security field. I’ve worked initi for Trend Micro & later worked for Wiz.io (Acquired by Google) helping organizations secure their cloud estate. Currently, I’m working for a Semiconductor company aiding customers both internally & externally deploy AI Clusters.

Outside of my professional life I am a recreational cyclist, bike polo player, enjoy gardening & beginning to get back to hiking, camping & traveling.
