The journey from admissions to graduation is a long one. Two or four years of hard work and commitment all add up to a tremendous reward; a degree and a tremendous sense of accomplishment. While my role deals with the first step towards your future, I love having the chance to keep up to date with all of my students as they inch closer to graduation.

In fact, one of my favorite student related stories relates to a student I enrolled early on in my time here whose first question was about how the graduation ceremony worked for online students. She continued to stay in touch with me and provide updates all the way through her degree. In case you’re curious, online students have the opportunity to travel to Buffalo, NY to participate in the online graduation ceremony. If traveling to Buffalo is out of the question, students can also coordinate to participate in a graduation ceremony at another Bryant & Stratton College campus that is closer to their home.

Of course, I think it’s best to come to the ceremony in Buffalo, but I may be a little biased.

I actually played soccer for four years in college and remain a big fan of the game to this day. I also hold Bills season tickets and I’m super excited about Rex Ryan. One day I hope to find my way to an Olympic Games as experiencing all of the different events with people from around the world would be truly incredible.

One thing to keep in mind as you work towards enrollment is that your education is what you make of it. Take advantage of the opportunites provided to you. Showing up is half the battle. You'll never know who you meet or what you'll learn.
