I am a happily married, busy mom of six children. They range in ages between 7 and 23. I joke that I am the queen of less then half time jobs. My schedule has to work around the kids. I work at our local school part time which is great for me because I have my summers off and get my breaks when the kids have their breaks. I babysit some children before school and since their mom is a teacher it works for us both. My latest endeavor is becoming a Beach Body coach. This has been a great opportunity for me because I am my own boss. I don’t have quotas and the company is truly here to help people. I love to workout and I can now say it’s my job so I HAVE to exercise;). This has led me to my latest job which is a P90x instructor at Gold’s Gym. So when I say I understand what it’s like to be busy trust me I have been there.

I was a customer of Beach Body for 2 and a half years before I decided to become a coach. By the time I became a coach I already had my “story”. Being somewhat vertically challenged (5’3”), I weigh almost 200 pounds. Yes I was obese! I slipped on a pillow in my room and hurt my back. My doctor was adamant I needed back surgery. But I had other plans. I started P90x and lost 30 pounds. I still had some back pain and I was dealing with on and off numbness in my right foot. Before the 30 lb weight loss I woke up most mornings with a tingling in my feet. I also realized that I was suffering from knee pain. If you have ever suffered from constant pain you know what I am talking about. When you live in constant pain you don’t always notice it. But you do notice when it is gone. The last time I visited the surgeon he was shocked by the strength in my right foot. After numerous MRI’s he couldn’t prove to me that surgery was the answer. At this point I have hit a 60 pound weight loss and have a new outlook on food. I am struggling to get my family to eat healthier grains and eat less processed food.
