Brent McCay

I was a pastor for fundamentalist churches for thirteen years. After seeing firsthand the futility of the fundamentalist, right wing approach to God, religion, and life; I left fundamentalism and conservatism behind. I have written a book titled Confesssions of a Heretic: How a Right Wing, Conservative, Fundamentalist Pastor Became a Leftist, Liberal Heathen. This book is my memoir of coming out of fundamentalist thinking, and an examination of fundamentalist Christian Doctrines and the problems I see with those doctrines. In it I address the problem's I had with the church's views on sex, homosexuality, politics, poverty, and many other topics.
