Molly McDonough
117,652 miles shared. Countless hours of singing and driving. And only $1500 dollars spent. She's not the most glamorous, she doesn't start most of the time, and she's missing a few hubcaps, but I wouldn't trade my Volkswagen bug for the world. She has been with me for two years now, and I have made more memories in that car than I have outside of it. Most people say my bug fits me very well, and I never really knew what that meant but I have chosen to embrace it. It may just be some material object, but my bug and I are alike in many ways. For example, for a 15 year old car, my bug looks like she's in pretty good shape. But on the inside, she is an absolute mess. I do my best to keep my outside appearance together as well, but majority of the time I am freaking out on the inside, stressing about something that won't matter in two weeks. My bug also has many different moods. Sometimes she'll decide she doesn't want to start five minutes before I have an important meeting, but other times she'll run great when I have nowhere to go. I must admit, I can be just as moody as she is, because we all have those days where we just don't want to start. This car has become a part of me, it helps me stand out among thousands of other cars, and I love her even with all of her flaws.
