Florida
Born William McGee, January 12, 1985, aka “Koolie Blak” is an upcoming artist out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida located in Broward County. Koolie discovered he had a passion for producing, writing, and becoming a hip hop artist in the ladder part of his College Studies. After his dreams of playing Major League Baseball were not fulfilled after being in the game 15 (+) years from little league to College, Koolie decided to turn those disappointing life lessons learned in baseball and life, into positive inspirations expressing them lyrically with his music.
Most of Koolie’s lyrics are motivated from the lack of a biological connection from his biological father’s family that includes his grandmother, grandfather, aunts, uncles, etc. With the support of his immediate family, Koolie became driven and determined to turn those biological scars into encouraging phrases bandaged by his lyrics. Koolie recognized that with the overwhelming love and support from his immediate family, which includes his parents, Richard and Linda, and his 5 siblings (Arliecia, Keisha, Ricky, Chinzia, and J.R.), that his boundaries are limitless and there is nothing he can’t do or overcome
