Mark Chiarelli

As both a Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management major and a journalism major, my passion for both writing and sports meets directly at a crossroad.

For me, the thrill of delving deeper into the issues and backstories in sports is compelling. I've had the opportunity to pusue a variety of stories within collegiate athletics as a member and sports editor of the Massachusetts Daily Collegian, which include covering the NCAA Tournament and Division I FBS football.

I enjoy looking into sports beyond the surface level and learning more about the people which both play and work in sports.

I'm excited to continue to develop this passion as a student at the University of Massachusetts, and hope to one day make an impact within the sports media industry.
