Matthew Cimmino

For as long as I can remember, I've always dreamed of flying airplanes around the world. Today I'm a student in middle school and I take private flying lessons in Cessnas and a simulator at Richmoor Aviation in Schenectady NY. I am an Airman at Civil Air Patrol - the United States Airforce Auxiliary ! They've allowed me to take multiple observation flights in their aircraft, and have taught me basics about search and rescue and emergency services. I've recently taken a "ropes course" in Lafayette NY at Adams Eden Camp. There we worked on team building exercises, "trust" exercises like jumping off a 30 foot platform in a tree to hit a ball 10 feet in front of you and expecting the belayer to catch you!

I really enjoy working with minecraft and gaming on xbox 360. I live in the country on 55 acres with a lake, stream, fields and mountain in my back yard, and the fun part of it is that I can run and hide and play all sorts of games that I wasn't able to when I lived in the city (Bayonne NJ). I have a great family that supplies me with everything I could ever want from xbox games to flying lessons and always tries to help me suceed no matter what I'm doing ! I have 2 ATV's that I play around with and 3 siblings to do stuff with. I have 5 fish, 1 dog named max and 2 cats, muffin and pickles. When I get older I will be an airline pilot and fly around the world.

For fun, I take art lessons at the Studio of Arts and Crafts in cobelskill NY where we make clay figures and create plates, bowls on pottery wheels, fused glass, and dishes out of clay and paint them! I also like to build model rockets and planes with my dad and I built a military tank with my granddad from England. I also like to shoot rifles/pistols/archery at the Iroqois Rod and Gun club on weekends, and enjoy getting a little target practice with throwing knives whenever my dad lets me !

I also do fencing at CDFS (Capital District Fencing School) with my instructor Mark. I've been taking fencing lessons for about 6 months. I also enjoy taking gymnastics lessons at World Class Gymnastics Academy in Latham. There I learn front handsprings, head and hand stands, trampoline and more. On my free time I like to go for a swim at the Fulton-Montomery YMCA with my family!
