Dee McIntosh
Metroland, England
American from the Jersey shore, but came to England for a vacation on April Fool's Day, 1969, and somehow never went home again. Long vacation. I'm a retired High School English teacher which gives me much more time for photography.
Began my DSLR obsession with a Nikon D90, and it was love at first sight, despite the steep learning curve, from point-and-shoot to ISO, aperture and shutter speed. As of March 2011 I upgraded to a second-hand D700 and later also bought an Olympus E-M5 for street work so I'm pretty much covered for all contingencies.
I'll photograph anything from buskers and the contents of bric-a-brac shops, to my grandchildren or strangers on the tube. Anything is up for grabs, but I tend to take more portraits than anything else. The human face. Can you ever get tired of it? Not me, anyway.
