Kim McKean

Kim McKean is a professional actress, audiobook narrator, and educator with a Masters in Fine Arts from the University of California- Irvine. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA and the Actors Equity Association and has appeared on film, television, national commercials, and theatres across the US and Europe. She has also narrated over 25 audiobooks for Audible.com, including titles by NY TImes best-selling authors. Kim recently won “Best Actress in a Play” for her work in Margarita and Max at the Midtown International Theatre Festival in New York City. She was also awarded “Best Actress” from the New York Independent Film Festival for her work in the psychological thriller Pretty Twisted.

Teaching is fundamental to Kim’s work as an artist and an actress. She has taught undergraduate acting technique, scene study, voice/speech, and movement at the University of California-Irvine and the New York Film Academy in New York City. In addition she has developed programs and curricula and taught for educational outreach programs in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York. She currently resides in Brooklyn with her husband, writer and actor Greg Beam, and their son Milo. She is Associate Chair for the Acting for Film Department at the New York Film Academy in NYC.
