Everything that I do builds who I am as a person. I love to sail because it gives me time with my thoughts. I love to read because it provides an escape in stressful times. I love to write because there can never be too many stories in the world. I love to bake and cook because people like to eat. I love to volunteer because it is the best way to give back to my community.
My nights are spent with my family, enjoying each other’s time sharing stories of the past. I get to spend only a week out of the year sailing with people who make every new day a delight. I am able to increase my time with them throughout the year at single-day sessions where I also get the honor of showing a younger generation of Girl Scouts the beauty of sailing. Everyone that I meet is an inspiration for my writing, and everything that I read is another story to tell.
I have never wanted to waste a day away inside of a building when it could have been spent out on the water. I have never wanted to put down a book or set aside an idea to write in order to pay attention to a television. I have never wanted to sit still, and I never will.
I am uniquely me.
