Champaign, IL
A University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Senior, majoring in Communication with a minor in Leadership Studies. Currently working as a Program Assistant in Event Management, a CrossFit coach, a blogger for Zweetsport, President of the Communicatoin Association, and teaching intern for Public Speaking. I am a daughter, sister, student, employee, athlete, friend, leader, hostess, adventurer, wanderlust, writer, pageant contestant, fashion addict, and much more.
I have developed skills in: promotion and sales through my experiences in retail; public speaking through pageants and representative positions; leadership and motivation of teams through school projects, management, and coaching; planning and hosting events through personal and professinoal experience; and also creation of new and effiecient programs for training employees or implimenting new delieverables.
Pursuing dreams of entering the fashion industry in public relations, product promotion, and event management. Fashion is a portrayal of human emotion and self-image; an overall empowerment of those who wear it. This works wonderfully with my values and that is why I am so passionate about the career. I would prefer a position in a location that I am not familiar with yet so that I can grow to my fullest potential. Driven by desire, I will not stop until I find myself exactly where I want to be, not where others may dictate.
Bottom line, “McKenzie,” is a chameleon that can adapt to any preferred style while still portraying the timeless factors of drive, poise, femininity, and personality.
