I'm the secondary literacy helping teacher for the Surrey school district and a PhD student in Arts Education at SFU. A graduate of UBC’s creative writing MFA program, my poetry has appeared in CV2, English Practice, and the Sustenance anthology of BC food writing from Anvil Press, among others, and has been shortlisted for or awarded prizes from the Malahat Review, Surrey Muse, and RCLAS. I am currently the conference co-chair for the BC Teachers of English Language Arts; I was previously the past president of BCTELA, the Surrey English Teachers' Association, and the Royal City Literary Arts Society.
