Arriving in Atlanta the beginning of 2004, I was hopeful at beginning a career as a Graphic Designer, working for a great company, with great pay, benefits, and job security. I thought I had found that in the spring of 2005 working on the art department on in one on the nation's top architectural sign companies, but after a few years, and later migrating to two other companies for better opportunities, I grew increasingly frustrated with downsizing, and quite frankly, working on boring projects.
Having an opportunity to earn a living while creating my own schedule, and freedom in 2008, led me to seek more freelance opportunities, and to produce and curate my own art exhibits, as well as help other artists with their marketing efforts as the owner & Creative Director of Art*Star (www.ArtStar.info) Expanding on Art*Star's vision led to partnering with other artists forming the BlackBook Conversations, a monthly seminar specifically for visual artists focusing on the business aspects of art and design.
