MC Till

Always independent, always original, MC Till exudes life and passion. This is evident when he is rapping upside down in a telephone booth (yes, he did that), recording heartfelt music in the studio, or when he is writing whacky short stories for kids. MC Till lives outside the box and loves to invite others to join him.

MC Till has recorded a number of underground Hip-hop albums working with artists like Wonder Brown and K-Drama. Then in 2014 he linked up with Grammy Nominated Producer Ric Hordinsky to record a Jazz album w/ spoken word and rap on top. The project featured legendary big band drummer Jon Von Olen, jazz pianist Steve Schmidt, stand up bassist Byron House and Ric on guitar. Most jazzy Hip-hop is just that: hip-hop with some jazz. This ablum, The Neighborhood, is a jazz album with some Hip-hop.

After the jazz project MC Till decided to combine his ability to work with kids and his love for music. Together with illustrator Charlie Padgett and fellow emcee Vernard Fields MC Till created a Hip-hop storytelling platform for kids called The Corner. The Corner creates and tells stories in the vein of Shel Silverstein, but they don’t simply tell the stories, they rap them!

In addition to Hip-hop albums, a jazz album, and The Corner MC Till has toured all over the United States performing over 1,000 times. He has the ability to engage audiences of all ages and backgrounds. His live performances are fun, funny, and always interesting like when he rapped upside down in a telephone booth (I’m promise you, he did that:).

When MC Till is not creating or performing with The Corner he is hard at work with his independent, community-funded record label, Everybody’s Hip-hop Label (EHHL). EHHL creates and distributes thoughtful Hip-hop music with an emphasis on honoring Hip-hop’s past by becoming a part of its future.
