Martin’s career is the world of enterprise software, implementing established technologies such as EDRM and CRM like Salesforce, as well as emerging technologies such as Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Social Media Analytics, and Augmented Reality. He primarily works with global Fortune 100 companies, often in start-up or incubator units.

In addition to commercial software, Martin has often worked in politics and activism, including the presidential campaign of Barack Obama. After the winning 2008 election, Martin joined the Obama-Biden Transition Project. Following his appointment as Deputy Director in President Obama’s White House, he worked on numerous projects for the Administration, leveraging years of private-sector technology experience to transform the ability of the president and his staff to interact with constituents in the US and around the world.

Since returning to Chicago from DC in 2012, he, his wife, and 10 year old son spend much of their time at street festivals, and enthusiastic patrons of Chicago’s many cultural institutions.
