Md. Ziaul Haque

WASH Specialist and Humanitarian worker in Bangldesh

Hi, I’m Md. Ziaul Haque. I am a Microbiology graduate and a current WASH specialist working with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in Bangladesh, specializing in faecal sludge treatment, blackwater processing, and drinking & wastewater laboratory analysis.

My work bridges public health, environmental engineering, and sustainable sanitation, where I oversee FSTP operations aligned with WHO/national standards, develop SOPs for treatment units, and conduct pathogen reduction research (lime stabilization, QMRA inputs).

I am now seeking opportunities for higher studies (Master’s or PhD) in Environmental Engineering / Sanitation Technology / Water Treatment, with a focus on low-cost wastewater treatment, decentralized sanitation, and risk-based process validation.
