- status: single (never married)
- kids: no plans (not an exciting thought)
- dogs: let's get two (very excited) π
- career: good, with long term financial stability π€πΌ
- work life balance: good (40h week, WFH)
- home base: Chennai; happy and feel at home here, in spite of the hot weather and bad beer. relocation is highly improbable (but not impossible)
- social life: active and fun filled π²πΏπ»ππ¦ (i hhhate dancing though)
- friends: few but close (also mostly busy with their family lives)
- beliefs: liberal; non-religious; happy to live and let live
- living situation: just me (apt)
- parents: love me too much, so i keep a distance (in km)
- extended family: i acknowledge their existence, and they do mine
- personality: introvert but confident and assertive, INTJ-A, Aquarius,
- strongly attracted to: being fit and healthy, being independent, being able to think for oneself, being outspoken and honest, overall being a force to reckon with
- turn offs: submissiveness, herd mentality, negative work life balance
- emotional range: narrow (wider range reserved for people closest to me). highly aware of my own deepest thoughts, so i tend to be naturally more objective than emotional. but i relish playful banter and i can't imagine a relationship without it. that's my default state except when i have to dissect/declutter thoughts (for myself or with/for someone). am very much at home with both modes (and need a mix of both in any good relationship).
- greatest strengths: clarity of purpose, critical thinking, long term financial stability
- relationship style: monogamy (trusting and non-possessive)
- sex life: active (single doesn't mean no action, right π€·π»ββοΈ, but i promise that it's safe, no relationships involved and not with people in my life. swipe left if this bothers you. and of course thoughts/action outside a relationship stop when i'm in one - am monogamous to the core.)
- past relationships: just one, 2007-2021, life goals/philosophy diverged too much to be compatible anymore
- icebreakers i resonate with: favorite/recent books/music/movies/shows/standup/video-games/board-games, pet stories, travel history/wishlist, favorite food, thoughts on what we're looking for in each other (or in life).
Why all this? I find dating conversations to be more fun and useful in person (or at least over calls) than over just text (at least early on when it's difficult to read a person's emotions over text). So here's an attempt at sharing enough info to keep the texting-only stage as short as possible.
