Maikudi Danburam
Project Manager, Writer, and Volunteer in Nigeria
I am a Program Manager and Social Impact Strategist with over 5 years of experience designing, managing, and delivering community-based programs aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). My work focuses on translating strategy into measurable, community-driven impact across public health, education, climate action, and youth development.
I have managed and supported multi-country and regional programs across West Africa and global platforms, collaborating with NGOs, academic institutions, youth networks, and international partners. My expertise includes program design and implementation, stakeholder coordination, monitoring and evaluation, grant management, and reporting, with a strong focus on sustainability, accountability, and results.
Over the course of my career, I have served in programmatic and leadership roles with organizations including Oli Health Magazine Organization (Program Officer, West Africa), Waila Initiative for Sustainable and Inclusive Development (Co-founder & Director of Strategic Development), ScholarRx (Student Advisor), and the Tony Elumelu Foundation (Startup Mentor). I have also previously held roles as Regional Program Manager, Campus Director, Program Associate, Senior Research Fellow, Project Design Officer, and Capacity Building Lead, contributing to program design, execution, monitoring, mentorship, and strategic growth across health, education, climate, and youth-focused initiatives.
My work has been recognized through competitive fellowships and grants, including the Millennium Fellowship, Wells Mountain Initiative Scholarship, U.S. Government Study of the U.S Institutes (SUSI) for Global Students Leaders Program, Citizen Diplomacy Action Fund Grant, SUSI Alumni Grant, and The Pollination Project Seed Grant. Across these roles, I have supported and managed grant-funded programs totaling over USD 20,000, coordinated projects across 3+ countries, trained and mentored over 500 youth and students, and worked with teams and volunteers exceeding 50 individuals.
I bring strong strengths in program coordination, research and policy writing, grant development, and strategic communication, enabling me to work effectively with funders, partners, and community stakeholders. I thrive in collaborative, mission-driven environments that require ownership, leadership, and measurable impact delivery.
I am open to Program Management, Social Impact, Public Health, and Youth Development focused roles, as well as consulting, advisory, and partnership opportunities.
