Mercy Niangmupba Dayil-Omale hails from Kwalla district of Qua'an pan LGA of Plateau State Nigeria.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science(BLIS) from the Prestigious University of Jos, Plateau state She obtained a Professional certification as a Certified Librarian of Nigerian (CLN) from the Librarians' Registration Council of Nigeria in 2021. Currently pursuing her Master's degree in Library and Information science at the University of Jos.
She worked as a Graduate Library Assistant at the Maritime Academy of Nigeria for 3 years. Currently a Lecturer at the Institute of Education, University of Jos.
Mercy is a Public speaker, Information scientist, Digital Marketer, occasional Storyteller, Writer, a Jesus freak.
Mercy is a serial Volunteer with local and International NGOs such as Claire Aid Foundation, International Missions Opportunities (IMO), The FAME Foundation, Rejoice Shammah Initiative(RSI), Thinking Cap Literacy Initiative(TCLI), a member of Young African Leaders Initiative(YALI) Plateau hub, and a member of the Board of Trustees at Ochaworth Leadership and Community Development Initiative.
Mercy is a Human Rights activist with ties to Youths for Human Rights International and Amnesty International.
Mercy is passionate about the Sustainable Development Goals, especially 4, 5, 8 and 16. Her passion led her to start up an NGO called Daya's Purple Foundation, which is centred on the Education, Welfare and Quality Education of the Girlchild of orphans and the less privileged in her community and around the world.
Her love for Literacy Advocacy inspired her to start an arm of her NGO called “Libraries Without Walls”, where she and her team started or stocked community libraries, libraries in Orphanages, communities and IDP camps. She stocked up the Library at Kingdom Kids Klub (KKK), an Orphanage home, and donated books to the Home Library of Girl's Transition Home, Bassa. Donated books to and was part of the startup Team for Tudun Wada Community Library.
Mercy is happily married to Mr. Godwin Omale and together, they run their bakery business called Sunrise Bakery.
Mercy calls herself God's Errand Girl because she believes that the goal is to die EMPTY. Knowing that she has lived a life of purpose, passion and meaning. Pouring herself into everything she does, leaving nothing behind but a legacy of love, courage and resilience. Making the most of her time and resources, leaving the world a little better than she found or met it.
