Michael DiSomma

34 year old male looking to make his mark in the OCR world. Competing in his first OCR in 2013, he has made it to the podium claiming the Axe of Fame from a Savage Race. The following year, on a strict vegan diet to prove that even plant based athletes can achieve greatness, he has placed 3rd on the 2014 Savage Race. Michael has competed in 3 Spartan Races in 2014 and has learned that this venue has some serious terrain as well as competitors. He has finished his first sprint 28th missing his first ever spear throw. On a Super, he has finished 22nd with the same crux, missing the spear throw. On his first ever race over 9 miles, he has completed the beast in Killington, VT 221st on their 16+ mile course. This new year, 2015, Mike has put in more work in training as he has learned that he needs to step up his uphill endurance and keep in the front with the best. He has hit the spear throw at Vermont after practice at home and some helpful insight from his beautiful and brilliant girlfriend. Michael has had the honor in meeting the one and only April, the female Spartan podium finisher, Isaiah Vidal, Matt the Bear, and a few other big names.
