Hi, I’m Md Jakaria, a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) professional and development practitioner based in Bangladesh. I currently work as a MEAL Officer, contributing to evidence-based programming and accountability systems that strengthen child protection, climate resilience, and migration-focused initiatives. My work focuses on designing and implementing MEAL frameworks, conducting research and data analysis, and ensuring that development programs remain ethical, responsive, and impactful for the communities they serve.

Over the past few years, I have developed strong professional experience working with national and international development organisations on projects related to climate change, climate-induced migration, safe migration, human trafficking prevention, and child rights protection. I have supported programs funded by global partners by strengthening monitoring systems, conducting field research, managing data, and producing analytical reports that inform decision-making and improve program effectiveness. I am particularly committed to ensuring accountability to affected populations and integrating safeguarding and ethical data practices into development interventions.

My professional focus lies at the intersection of climate change and migration, human trafficking and child protection, community resilience, and evidence-based development programming. I am passionate about using data, research, and community engagement to address complex social challenges such as climate displacement, unsafe migration, exploitation, and vulnerability among marginalised communities, especially children, youth, and migrant populations. I strongly believe that effective MEAL systems, inclusive participation, and collaborative partnerships can transform development initiatives into sustainable and meaningful social impact.

Beyond my professional role, I actively engage in knowledge sharing, youth leadership, and writing. Through my blog and digital platforms, I share insights on development practice, MEAL systems, research, and social issues to contribute to learning and professional dialogue within the development community.

This space reflects my professional journey, ideas, and contributions — a place to connect, collaborate, and share knowledge with researchers, development practitioners, organisations, and changemakers who are committed to building a more inclusive, accountable, and resilient society.

Let’s connect and work together to create meaningful, ethical, and evidence-driven social change.
