M. Don Snyder is a founding member of GiveJet, a corporation developed to provide solutions for a range of aircraft service needs. He has enjoyed over a decade in the aviation industry and has been recognized for his outstanding achievements in the various organizations he has served.
Don demonstrated his leadership skills and focus on aviation safety early in his career. Don started working at Delta Airlines while attending college. He was quickly promoted to Supervisor of Ramp and Cargo operations. During that time, Don became the head trainer at the Piedmont Triad International airport (located in Greensboro, NC) for Atlantic Coast Jets, Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Comair, and Delta for the categories of Ramp Operations, Safety, Hazmat, De-Ice, & Cargo Transportation.
After 3yrs of working for Delta, Don enlisted in the Marine Corps. In the Marine Corps Don deepened his aviation experience and knowledge. He become an F/A 18 fighter jet mechanic on a 5yr contract. During his enlistment, M. Don Snyder made the rank of Sergeant and graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a B.S. in Professional Aeronautics with a focus on Business & Safety. Within the duration of his military career, Don was able to accomplish the following:
Incorporated new tools & procedures streamlining aircraft production by 30%.Improved hazmat & environmental functions in the facility to be more eco-friendly saving the manufacturing facility tens of thousands of dollars annually.Led a team of OEM GE engineers in the improvement of a newly incorporated aircraft engine component increasing the life of the part and saving the Marines and Navy millions of dollars annually.
M. Don Snyder also obtained certifications in EPA, OSHA, Naval Aircraft QA Inspector, & Lean/Six Sigma. He has been professionally recognized several times for his safety initiatives and industry accomplishments.
