Outgoing, ambitious, and focused, you can find me galloping into success. Not one to back down from a challenge, I constantly strive to go above and beyond in all aspects of my life.
As Fundraising Chair, and a communications intern at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarington (BBBSC), I know how to juggle all of my responsibilities while still maintaining a level head.
At BBBSC, I put my extensive education into practical use, which foreshadows my inevitable success in the Public Relations field. Currently, I am working on several campaigns during my time at BBBSC. I am contributing to Bowl for Kids' Sake, Spring Food and Wine Festival, and the organization’s annual "Winter Wishes" gala.
My passion is not only showcased throughout my work life, but it is evident in my love of animals, as well. I work at my family’s owned and operated Kalmegess Kennels Inc. as a kennel attendant and certified groomer. I assist with the care for several dogs on a daily basis.
When I'm not working at the kennel, you can find me riding horses as University of Ontario Institute of Technology’s (UOIT) Equestrian Team Captain. As a dedicated equestrian for 17 years, my love of horse riding took me as far as the National level or "A" Circuit, where I trained and worked on perfecting my riding skills.
Currently, a second-year Public Relations student at Durham College, I'm trying to keep a focused eye on my path to success. With a year of Television Broadcasting education from Fanshawe College under my belt, I am able to take the skills learned from that program and directly apply it to my current study.
I believe that my work ethic, determination, and impressive background are sure to help my goals come to fruition.
