Student in Athens, Georgia

Read my blog

Greetings, I’m Michael. I’m a student living in Athens, Georgia and I am a third year student at the University of Georgia. I am studying computer science. I chose this major because of my interest in technology. I have always wanted to learn how to code. I enjoy the idea of creating something that everyone can use whether that something is a useful tool in every day life or if it is simply for entertainment.

I was born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in College Park Georgia. I have one younger sibling, a brother and I have one dog. I care for them both deeply.

In my spare time I enjoy playing basketball, playing video games, hanging out with friends and family and watching movies and television shows. My favorite video game to play is NBA 2k17, but I also enjoy playing a variety of other games.

I desire to get more evolved on campus with clubs and activities, but I am a member of NSBE, MIT, BMLS, and Tate Leauge. I also work at Tate in the Information Technology department as a computer assistant. I really enjoy my job and it relates to my major it allows me to get job experience while making money.

my interest include technology, music, and web development. I’m also interested in programming and movies. You can read my blog with a click on the button above.

January Blog

In the month of January I learned about the proper way to write a memo, Effect way of communication though formal and informal channels . I also learned the structure of a career fair and how to make a visual for a career fair.

Writing a memo was much simpler than I once thought you must write who it is to, who it is from, the date, your initials, the actual message which you should be concise and your closing. The hardest part about the memos is making sure it is properly formatted.

Communication is a huge part of business. People in business communicate through speaking, email, memos, letters, video conferences, instant messaging, and even text messages. During this month I have learned when it is appropriate to use each one of these channels of communications. you should also be careful in how you use these communications.

Making the career fair visuals was very interactive and fun assignment. I enjoyed the opportunity to make a visual presentation to my classmate as well as seeing all of their visual presentations.
