Benjamin Algreen Adler
Consultant in Medellín, Colombia
Benjamin is an innovative thinker with an analytical mindset, self-taught programmer in multiple languages, and an MSc. in International Business and Politics.
A brief summary of me in five easy bullets:
1. In High School I taught myself to program in Ruby and founded a Web Development company;
2. I studied a Masters in International Business and Politics, from which I gained an organized perspective on Economics, Politics, and Business Strategy, focusing on how they interact;
3. I worked as a Visiting Associate at Quadric Consulting, where I developed a results-oriented approach to solving complex strategic challenges;
4. At Ruta N, the innovation hub of the City of Medellín, I lead the open data strategy for the Mayor’s office and Metropolitan Area, generating the city’s first sources of open data through high-impact public-private partnerships and citizen engagement;
5. Organized and passionate in my work; a team player that trusts in the ideas and capabilities of my coworkers. I have an open mind and an open heart.
I am also uniquely qualified in the growing globalization of the world economy. I was born in Germany, raised in both Denmark and USA, and have lived in 5 countries throughout Europe, North America, and Latin America. I speak three languages (not including programming languages), and have made friends on every continent. I am culturally sensitive, understand the complexities of how different people communicate in different ways, and am driven to learn and explore.
