Data scientist and Bioinformatics in Palo Alto

I’m Meenakshi, a Data scientist living in Palo Alto.

After obtaining a PhD degree in Genetics, Genomics and Bioinformatics, I am currently working for the data co-ordination center at Stanford School of Medicine.
I has been involved with the ENCODE project, the Regulome project as well as the IGVF project.
These databases host Genomics big data from consortium-wide efforts of 400+ research laboratories across the globe to understand the human genomes and the impacts of genomic variation on human diseases.
In my current role, I play several critical roles: ranging from being a Bioinformatician to a data scientist, from a software schema developer to a program manager.
As a domain expert in the team, I play a critical role in facilitating cross-collaboration between the stakeholders and the software development teams.
