ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Meera Maheswari!
My journey began at NIFT Bengaluru, India, where I earned my Bachelor’s in Knitwear Design and discovered my love for creating unique silhouettes, prints, and graphics. I spent those years exploring womenswear, kidswear, and lingerie, bringing ideas to life with tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Clo3D, and Procreate.
Today, I’m continuing my adventure in Brisbane, Australia, as I pursue a Master of Business at Griffith University. Alongside my studies, I’m gaining hands-on experience as a Sales and Logistics Manager at Checkmate Industries, learning how creativity and strategy come together in the real world.
When I’m not immersed in design or business, you’ll find me dancing, reading, exploring art and music, or simply soaking in inspiration. This blog is my space to share my journey, thoughts, and discoveries.
The Art of Blending Creativity with Commerce
Sketchbooks, textiles, and runway shows were integral components of my professional vision when I began my design degree at NIFT Bengaluru. I discovered a passion for the process of transforming ideas into tangible products, including the planning and logistics involved in bringing a concept to fruition.
This insight motivated me to pursue a Master of Business degree at Griffith University in Brisbane. The fashion industry, like all creative sectors, requires a careful balance between strategic management and artistic expression. While design may inspire interest, the global success of a product is ultimately driven by effective operations, supply chain management, and strategic marketing.
During my studies, my role as a Sales and Logistics Manager has shown me how creativity and analytical skills can work together effectively. Managing shipments and client interactions often presents unique challenges that require innovative and efficient solutions.
