I plopped onto a plane from Indiana to China in 2007. Who knew that same trip 8 years ago would not end.... and that it would turn into a career.

Many air mileage points, several passport stamps, and countless dumplings later, I relocated to Berkeley to work for a reviews website aimed at helping individuals find powerful experiences abroad.

Reading about others' adventures made me psyched to continue having my own. I hit the road as an Overseas Educator for Carpe Diem Education, working for 3 semesters with college students in the South Pacific and East Africa. I've now returned Stateside to join the team at GoAbroad.com, stopping short of only world domination. ;-)

I enjoy writing (especially about meaningful travel and cultural immersion), chatting with folks, trying new things, being outside!!!, and finding something special in each and every day. My goal is to do some good with my life and humbly encourage others to do the same.

I should also probably mention I'm a study abroad fanatic.
