College is such a whole new world to venture into. There are new friends that you will make, all-nighters to finish all of the piles of homework and tests that you have accumulated, early morning coffee chats with your peers, and ultimately, challenging obstacles that will make you into the person that you are meant to be at the end of it all.

Coming to Kansas State University, I wasn’t quite sure what my future occupation would entail. I began my freshman year with Athletic Training as my major at first, but as the weeks went on I just felt my passion for that field slowly slipping away. With the help of my parents, peers, family members, and Academic and Career Information Center specialists on campus, more options slowly started to become visible into what other things I could start pursuing. After taking a few Communication classes I am now a declared Communication Studies major with a minor in Leadership, and I could not be happier.

The ACIC office helped me tremendously with what I wanted to do with my time here at K-State. The staff has and is always so welcoming. From assessments to a library full of books, hundreds of files filled with curriculum guides and more, you are sure to make the right choice in your area of study.

When I am not working at ACIC my hobbies include traveling, going on random adventures, spending quality time with the ones that I love, going to church, volunteering with HandsOn K-State and, of course, cheering on the Cats! I am also involved in Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and Christian Challenge.

If you are someone who doesn't quite know what direction you should head in college, the ACIC office is the place to visit. I would love to meet you :)
