Megan McCoy

I am a fifth year teacher and this is my second year at TFS! After studying French and Linguistics as an undergraduate at the University of Iowa, I started my teaching career in Brittany, France. Upon returning to my hometown of St. Louis, I worked as a high school French teacher as I earned my Masters degree in Education and teaching certificates in French K-12 and Elementary Ed 1-6. I love reading about pedagogy, language acquisition, as well as for pleasure. I am thrilled to teach 3rd grade again at TFS. I am very passionate and excited about the SLLIS vision and mission statement. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors, doing yoga, running, visiting St Louis' restaurants and parks, as well as spending time with my fiancé and friends. I'm so glad to share in this experience of immersion, inquiry, critical thinking, and learning with the students of 3B!
