Megan Davies is a Cape Town based fashion and beauty photographer who studied at The Cape Town School of Photography between the years of 2013 and 2014. Her interest in the subject of fashion and fashion photography predated her studies. While busy with her studies, Megan took on several large corporate clients, while also compiling an impressive personal portfolio of work. Her early work tended to be more alternative focused, though as time passed she began to appreciate and experiment more with contemporary fashion. Since her graduation form CTSP, Megan has continued to work on both her personal and corporate portfolios. Despite her keen interest in more contemporary fashion and beauty, she continues to find herself drawn to the allure of the unusual and experimental, which can be seen in much of her work. Megan is honest in her approach to her work, moving past the cliche phrases associated with the creation of art, instead she states that her aim is to create quality images of interesting and appealing fashion wear. She also places particular emphasis on the model wearing the items and seeks to ensure the model represents the image she intends to create, at all times. At just 21 years old, the quality of her work and extensive portfolio extend well past her years and she continues to strive for improvement.
Megan has had work featured in Rebelicious, Freque, Gothesque, Cynical Fashion, deFUZE and Mink Magazine. Her clients list includes Woolworths SA, Hirt & Carter, Elrico Bellingan at LUXO, FEDISA, Orms, FreshToGo, The Cape Town School of Photography, That Shoe Lady.
