Megan O’Connor is Chief Growth Officer at Human Ventures, a startup studio democratizing premium experiences while creating a positive impact on society. Most recently, Megan served as the Director of Development at Pencils of Promise, an innovative "for purpose" nonprofit organization providing quality education in the developing world. Under Megan’s leadership PoP doubled in size, growing to a $8M+ organization, including the $2M raised at the organization's’ 2014 gala she hosted. Megan’s background in fundraising spans education and international development. Prior to joining the world of social good, Megan worked in sales at The Economist Group where she launched the organization's first online suite of lead-generation products.
Her responsibility as Chief Growth Officer will be to oversee portfolio companies’ growth and impact strategy, and running Human’s education space. Megan will also oversee the Advisory Board for the Human Ventures Investor Network.
Megan has an MPA from NYU's Wagner School of Public Service and a BA from Santa Clara University. She is a member of the Summit community, Nexus and is a Susan Schiffer Stautberg fellow. A Silicon Valley native, Megan lives and works in New York City.
