Megan Ratchford

I am Megan Ratchford, a dedicated professional with the skills and experience to foster a thriving community. Since relocating to Utah in 2010 from Pennsylvania, my husband and I sought a change of pace and an engaged community. We discovered Clearfield in 2013 and immediately fell in love with the area.

With over 21 years of service at Hilton, I have excelled in creating positive cultures, launching hotels, and leading award-winning teams focused on guest satisfaction. Hospitality is my passion, and I strive to make people happy in all aspects of life.

In addition to my professional achievements, I am deeply committed to community empowerment. In Pennsylvania, I participated in Leadership Wilkes-Barre Community Outreach, where we worked to help elderly patients in nursing homes connect with their loved ones. Locally, I have actively supported various chambers and engaged in initiatives like food truck tasting events, ribbon cuttings, and mentorship programs. I have also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and local food banks.

Currently, I serve as a Clearfield City Planning Commissioner Vice Chair and contribute with the Military Affairs Committee, supported by the Davis Chamber. I am the daughter of a retired Sargent Major, I strive to help the military transition into our community with a feeling of inclusion. Helping foster lasting economic and career opportunities for military spouses is important in to me. The people who operate our weapons systems and create strategies have families and they can contribute a great deal to making Clearfield a thriving city.

As a City Council nominee, I envision a vibrant, progressive city that embraces diversity, fosters economic prosperity, and prioritizes environmental sustainability. With a servant leadership style, I value citizen input and seek to build unity while addressing pressing community issues.
