Megan Stevens, single mother of three, is a journalist and founder of Single Mothers Unite (SMU). SMU was founded in 2013 to provide support to single mothers in the Central VA area. As an extension of the support group, Megan now writes a blog for SMU where she highlights single mothers each week. The blog is a tool used to empower and inspire others from the single mom perspective.

As a single mother of three, Megan, has journeyed through the mountains and valleys of single parenthood for the past seventeen years. With many rewarding experiences and obstacles alike, single parenthood has been anything but easy.

Professionally, Megan earned a bachelor's degree in Communications from Grand Canyon University and a master's degree in Multimedia Journalism from Full Sail University. Megan also holds a certification as a life coach. Today she uses those skills and abilities to empower other single mothers through her blog and connecting with single mothers across the country.
