Student in Madrid, Spain
My name is Megan Zanette and I am currently studying abroad in Madrid, Spain for the semester. I was born & raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, but a few years ago I decided to move to Fort Worth, Texas to pursue my college career. Now you may be asking yourself, 'Why Texas?'
Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area my whole life, I wanted four years to experience something completely new. I threw myself into a new city, university and culture. And to top it off - I knew absolutely nobody. Deciding to attend Texas Christian University (TCU) was by far the best decision I ever made. Through the rigorous academics, people, organizations and internship opportunities, I have grown and learned so much about myself.
At TCU, I am majoring in strategic communication (public relations & advertising) and minoring in business. I hope to pursue a career in marketing for a corporate skincare or cosmetic company. I would describe myself as a dedicated, hard-working and ambitious individual. I always put my all into everything I do.
Traveling is a huge part of my life. I enjoy immersing myself in new cultures and experiencing different ways of life. That's one of the main reasons I decided to study in Madrid, and I am thankful to have the opportunity to visit several other European countries during my stay.
Volunteering is also important to me and I believe that giving back to the community is important. It has been so rewarding volunteering at KinderFrogs School on the TCU Campus, giving me the opportunity to work hands on in the classroom with disabled students.
Now that you know a little bit more about me, feel free to reach out with any questions and check out my social media!
