Meghan Taylor

Student in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

Hi, I’m Meghan. I grew up in Comox, British Columbia and now I’m a second year student at the University of Victoria, which makes me a true islander! I'm currently studying Psychology and Professional Communication, which have both taken my understanding of communicating to a whole new level!

For my entire life I trained as a competitive figure skater that has lead to many exciting opportunities. I competed at the provincial level and have placed on the podium more than a few times.

Since I was eleven years old I volunteered as a skating instructor. This experience helped me attain a job teaching skating lessons to a variety of age groups, which I did for three years. Over the summer I was a summer camp leader for West Shore Parks and Recreation, and now I am currently teaching a preschool class called "Tumble Bumble". My experience working with children has taught me so much about how to approach different and difficult situations.

I love working with people and being involved with activities on campus. One huge way I was able accomplish that was through a volunteer position on the Social Media team with the Vikes Nation Ambassador's. The group promotes active and healthy living, as well as endorses the varsity games throughout the year. I loved doing it so much I managed to have 152 hours logged by the end of the second semester, and win Rookie of the Year!

In my spare time I like to use my creative and artistic sides to work on small interior design projects. Whether that be rearranging a room, finding the perfect decoration that will make the party complete or even just adding a coat of paint to freshens things up, I do it all with!

I have a unique and fresh view and am open to new and exciting opportunities! If you interested in collaborating, exploring or working together please feel free to email me at:
