Hey SFU! I’m Mehtab Singh, and I’m running to be your next SFSS President.

From navigating three different countries to leading non-profits and outreach programs, I’ve always been about building communities, solving problems, and getting things done. Now, I want to bring that same drive to SFU to fight for real student issues—because we deserve better.

What I Stand For

• Fighting Food Insecurity – No student should have to choose between tuition and their next meal. Let’s make campus food affordable and accessible.
• Expanding Mental Health Resources – Your well-being matters. I’ll push for better funding, easier access, and stronger peer support systems.
• Navigating SFSS Budget Cuts – With tough times ahead, we need smart solutions to protect student services, clubs, and resources.
• Pushing for the Burnaby Mountain Gondola – It’s time to speed up advocacy for this essential transit project. We need better, faster, and more reliable access to campus.
• Standing with Overworked Staff – A strong SFU starts with a supported workforce. Let’s fight for fair conditions for the people who help run our university.

Beyond SFU: Thinking Bigger

SFU doesn’t exist in a bubble. I’ll push for tuition caps at the provincial level, work to reduce student living costs, and look for ways to grow our campus community through external collaborations. More opportunities. More resources. A better student experience.

Why Me?

I’ve led, advocated, and delivered in many spaces. I understand what it takes to be the voice of SFU students—because I’ve been in the same trenches, facing the same struggles. This isn’t just another campaign; it’s about creating lasting change.
