Meigan Diaz Corona
Diplomatic Advisor in New York
About Me
Hi! I’m Meigan—Meigan with an 'i.' Unusual? Maybe. A small twist that makes all the difference. I like to think of that 'i' as a mark of distinction, just like the way I approach life: with intention, insight and inspiration.
I am a Diplomatic Advisor specializing in gender equality and children's rights. I hold a Master’s in Public Policy from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor’s in International Relations from Tec de Monterrey, with additional studies in International Law and International Relations at the University of Geneva.
My professional journey has taken me across diverse international organizations. I have consulted for UN ESCAP, UNDP, and the Trust for the Americas on gender equality, violence against women, and social development. I have also collaborated with the WFUNA and Global Changemakers on youth empowerment.
Fluent in English, Spanish, and French, with proficiency in German and basic knowledge of Mandarin, I am deeply committed to leveraging diplomacy and public policy to drive global change and advance gender equality.
Beyond my work, I live by a simple philosophy: try to embrace the present, and act with passion, kindness, and purpose, enjoying the little things in life. I find joy in traveling, learning about different cultures and languages, dancing, singing, swimming and really just simple things like taking a walk in the park, feeling the wind on my face while riding a bike and enjoying a beautiful sunset.
Let’s connect and work towards a fairer, more inclusive world!
