Noa Meir

Washington, District of Columbia

I completed my BA with distinction at Bar-Ilan University in Social Sciences, and graduated my MA in Diplomacy and Security at Tel Aviv University.

I recently concluded my position as the Jewish Agency Israel Fellow to the George Washington University Hillel. I piloted an exclusive project between the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Jewish Agency and my responsibilities included empowering and engaging over 150 students on campus, as well as administering and managing an Israel@GW Facebook page and twitter account.

I served as a Major in the IDF. Among the positions I carried out were: IDF Spokesperson for the North American media – I was interviewed by the foreign press as an official IDF spokesperson, and was responsible for the daily coordination of foreign press with IDF sources; Head of the North American Desk in the Foreign Relations Department - I was responsible for the military cooperation between the IDF and the US Military and oversaw/coordinated visits of senior US Generals (including the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff).

I have been involved in Israel advocacy for many years, including volunteering in two Israel advocacy organizations: Israel@Heart and StandWithUs.
