Irish writer Mel Healy is based in Dublin, Ireland. He is the author of the award-winning 'Moss Reid' series and has been praised for his 'intelligent breed of crime fiction'.

His novels revolve around private eye Moss Reid, whose main patch is northside Dublin - particularly around Stoneybatter, Smithfield and Grangegorman.

The first three titles in the series are:

Another Case in Cowtown (2013)

Black Marigolds (2014)

Ghost Flight (2014)

Mel himself likes food, wine, coffee, music, soccer and crime fiction (possibly in that order). He is a member of the International Flann O'Brien Society, Crimespace and the Crime Readers' Association. His work has also appeared in Literary Orphans, Spark, and Out of Our Heads, and on Booktrack.com and BridgesOfDublin.ie

" Another Case in Cowtown is a great fun detective story set firmly in Stoneybatter. Highly recommended."
- Liz Nugent, best-seliing author of Unravelling Oliver

"Healy captures the atmosphere and habits of Dublin, with some nice observations, and the story drifts along, with the occasional tangent that often involves food."
- Crime writer and reviewer Rob Kitchin

" 'Ghost Flight', Mel Healy's third novel in his Moss Reid PI series is easily his best yet. A deceptive slow-burner, it opens out from a standard missing person case to a thrilling chase, with powerful reflections on drones and secret warfare, the ongoing refugee crisis in the Mediterranean, and flawed memories."
