Nicole Melander

Nicole is a Specialist Leader with Deloitte Consulting LLP. In this position, she focuses on the innovative use of collaboration & social software by Federal government agencies. She leveraged her experience leading the implementation of an early Facebook-like environment, called Think.com, to understand the challenges of communicating and collaborating across geographies. Her subsequent work at American University and with USA Today challenged her to consider the disruptive implications of social media on traditional communication approaches. In addition to her social computing expertise, Nicole has in-depth knowledge of educational technologies, e-business software, technology architecture, large database systems, and internet-based applications. She won the "Teaching with Technology Award" at American University for her creative and innovative use of technology in the classroom.
