About Melanie Green

Melanie Green is a writer and content leader known for her clear, grounded approach to storytelling and communication. Her work focuses on shaping ideas into writing that feels direct, readable, and purposeful, whether she is developing long-form articles, website content, or book-length projects. She is drawn to the structure behind good writing and often works at the intersection of creativity and strategy, helping content find both its voice and its audience.

Beyond her own work, Melanie is invested in the craft and business of writing as a whole. She is the host of The Freelance Writing Podcast, where she talks openly about the realities of building a writing career, from client work to creative discipline.

She earned her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from National University and Bachelor of Arts in Writing from the University of Tampa. She's won writing awards, and has been recognized as a UT Writing Scholar.

She's worked for a range of organizations in full-time and freelance capacities, including TrueSense Marketing, Nielsen, McKinsey & Company, Triassic Media Group, Afternoon Baking With Grandma, Glassdoor, Indeed, Monotype, JcPenney, and Walmart.

She lives in Tampa, Florida with her family. As an adult adoptee, she is frequently interviewed on podcasts and for news outlets about the impacts of domestic infant adoptions in the United States.
