Melanie Rivera Canals

Melanie Rivera Canals. I'm a seventeen year-old student from Las Piedras, Puerto Rico. Currently, I'm majoring in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico in Humacao.

Not only am I a student, but I'm also passionate for missions. During this summer (2013), I was at my first missionary trip in Peru with a youth group called JAM (Juventud en Accion Misionera- Youth in Missionary Action). The greatest satisfaction of helping others, that are less fortunate, is knowing that they are thankful for everything our group does. Helping others is something that makes me completely happy.

I have many hurdles that I'm determined to jump over and have for certain that with the help of God I will succeed.
