Melanie Sheridan

Melanie Sheridan is a writer and an IPEd-accredited editor.

Currently the publications editor at the Melbourne International Film Festival, she has previously worked at the Australian Jewish News, editing magazines and newspaper sections on education, food, health, books and technology. She was the arts editor at Beat magazine for several years, and has written for and edited art & culture magazines (including broadsheet.com.au and theenthusiast.com.au), wedding magazines and city lifestyle magazines.

Melanie has taught editing to postgraduates at university and to students at further education centres. She is the project coordinator for Express Media's youth publication The Signal Express.

As co-editor of the Editors Victoria newsletter, she lives in fear of Muphry's Law.
