Melanie Dekker, a Singer-Songwriter from Vancouver, BC Canada is set apart by her vivacious love of lyrics and performance and the way she knocks you out with that acoustic guitar. The smokey depth of her voice and her phrasing pull you into the stories & the catchy pop melodies. With her combination of grit, sensitivity and humour she's made a great musicians career and has many, many fans throughout the world.
Ms Dekker has released six successful albums in her sixteen year career and her single, ‘I Said I’, off the ‘Just Because’ album reached the top 10 singles charts in Canada and the album hit the top 50 albums for over 13 weeks. She is currently recording her new album to be released in the fall of 2013.
In Europe, Melanie is a monster draw heading festivals, concerts, and other venues and playing, at times, before up to 10,000 loyal, energetic and intense fans.

Dekker's influences include Aretha Franklin, Tom Petty, Tracy Chapman, Fleetwood Mac, Emmylou Harris and the first band she listened to, the Beatles.
Dekker is a favourite with the press because of her world-wide spontaneous and heartfelt performances. Melanie has performed before President William J. Clinton; toured and played 12 shows in two days for the troops in Afghanistan; Melanie received LA MUSIC AWARD nominations for 'Humanitarian Artist of the Year' and 'Video of the Year', "Wounded Soldier"; performed at the Olympic Games in Vancouver 2010; and shared the stage with many stars including Diana Krall, Chaka Khan, Faith Hill & Bryan Adams.
