Make learning meaningful, purposeful and lifelong

I love my job as a teacher not because of the curriculum I get to instill in my students, but for the opportunity to help them find their true potential. My goal is to lay the foundation blocks to help my students become lifelong learners as they work towards achieving their goals and dreams. I strive to make my students innovative thinkers with a growth mindset. To have value, learning must be a meaningful process. I encourage my students to think critically and ask questions by structuring my class to reflect student centered and inquiry based learning. When students are in control of their learning they are more likely to take risks, spark creativity and demonstrate greater retention. When a student leaves my classroom, I want them to leave with the feeling that learning is fun, something they are in control of and something they never stop doing.
