Performance analyst and Wheelchair basketball performance analyst in Birmingham

I have been involved in the Sport and Exercise Science industry at my university. However, I have also been doing sport all my life; at 3 years old I began Ballet and have achieved RAD grades 1-8. Starting Basketball at the age of 9 i found a new passion in life alongside my ballet, i was constantly analysising within my own head but now finally have the resources and skill set to do the performance analysis I have wished to do.
I have been honoured to be a part of Disability Sport Wales through my performance analysis placement. During this I have learnt skills as a result of working within a multidisciplinary sporting environment. I have had the honour of working for a national team in their build up to the common wealth games qualifiers. Through this I have been tasked with creating a 3vs3 wheelchair basketball dashboard, working with the Angles software. This required a lot of innovation and research as this is a new form of the sport and little literature. As such, I created it using 5vs5 basketball as a base, incorporating the rules of half court 3vs3 basketball. This has been key to improving team performance. I wholeheartedly enjoyed this placement and developed throughout the whole experience.
Since this I have been hired by the worescter wolves basketball club as a performance analyst for the wheelchair basketball team. This has been an enjoyable exprereince thus far and I am developing all my skills working with high level athletes while now working towards my MSc in Applied Performance Analysis.
