Hello!

My name is Mel and I am creative strategist and human-centered designer. I have over eight years of experience in design, five of which have been spent working as a freelancer. I've touched on almost every sphere of creative conception, from branding to video storyboarding, but my current focus is on crafting user experiences that bring real value and delight to people through digital interfaces that are clear, ergonomic and, most importantly, socially purposeful.

I am an unrelenting optimist and an inspired futurist, a holistic thinker with my vision firmly fixed on the horizon. I seek to align myself with other conscious humans who are doing good work to help make our world a better place. My mission is to be part of the wave of change that is sweeping the planet and reimagining a brighter future. I strive to bridge the gap between technology and the human condition. I believe that technology does have the power to solve our biggest problems; abolish inequality, manage resources, foster cooperation, and elevate us as a species... but it is entirely up to us to choose to use technology wisely and with good intent. This is what I strive most to do.

I want to lend my empathy, my perception and my acumen to help tackle the world’s most pressing social and environmental challenges. I believe that the solutions that arise from human-centered design naturally bring stability, opportunity, scalability and joy to communities. I want to collaborate with social enterprises, social entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations in a number of sectors including health, science, energy, agriculture, and the environment.
