Work/life balance? My life is fully entwined with SFU! My husband and I are both SFU staff members (I've been here for 20 years), SFU alum, and former UniverCity residents. Our daughter attends University Highlands Elementary School. We consider ourselves extremely lucky to be able to live, work and play within this stimulating intellectual environment.

My current goal is to continue to have an impact on raising SFU's research profile, and to obtain much-deserved recognition for faculty and students who are committed to research excellence and innovation. SFU punches well above its weight as a major research institution in Canada. And I consider it part of my job to make sure that everyone knows it.
